Owner

Lauren Walker has 20 years coaching experience. She is USAG Safety, CPR, and AED certified. She has produced thousands of state champions, hundreds of regional qualifiers, many regional champions, and three national qualifiers. Lauren has worked with children of all ages and skill level. She also attends National and/or Regional Congress every year to stay updated on the latest education, rules, and policies. Lauren received her Bachelor’s degree in Business Management with a concentration in Entrepreneurship from Winthrop University. She has experience managing a team of 100+ gymnast and parents as well as encouraging and training staff to develop the younger athletes. Lauren is proficient in spotting on all events for all levels. Her knowledge and eagerness brings an intense but fun environment for all. 

Co-Owner

​Kenny Walker has been in the sport of gymnastics for 16 years and he is USAG safety certified. Kenny has coached tumbling, all levels of recreational classes, boy’s classes, and boy’s competitive team. He currently works for East Coast Gym Supply and is the Co-Owner of 10.0 Scoring. These businesses provide equipment, mats, and scoring to competitions and clubs. This varying amount of knowledge makes him a great addition to Soda City Gymnastics. 

Recreational Director

 ​Anna Ellers has coached gymnastics for 14 years. Prior to coaching she started gymnastics at age 3  and competed until she was 16 as a level 8. She is USAG safety certified and has coached pre-  school, recreational, and team gymnastics. Her continued commitment to the sport and genuine  love of the children makes Anna an invaluable asset to Soda City Gymnastics. 

Front Desk Manager

​Taylor Poole has been coaching gymnastics for 12 years. She was a level 7 competitive gymnast and took gymnastics for 13 years. Taylor is USAG certified and has coached pre-school, recreational, and girl's team levels 1-4 and Bronze, Silver, and Gold. Her drive for perfection and devotion to the gymnast makes Taylor a cherished employee to Soda City Gymnastics.

Shannon Driggers became active in the sport of gymnastics at a young age, and has been coaching for 15 years.  She began her coaching career in Georgia at her family's facility and started coaching in South Carolina in 2011. Shannon is USAG safety certified and is experienced in coaching pre-school, pre-team, & team gymnastics. Her appreciation of the sport and devotion to the children make her a celebrated coach at Soda City Gymnastics. 

Office Staff

Alexis Kahl was a competitive gymnast for 14 years. Her senior year she qualified for level 9 Easterns. She is currently a sophomore at the University of South Carolina where she is studying accounting. Alexis helps manage the front desk and provides a friendly face to all who attend Soda City Gymnastics.

Recreational & Team Coach

​Leah Bryant has coached gymnastics for 5 years. She began gymnastics at two years old and stayed in the sport until she was eleven. Switching to cheerleading Leah cheered competitively throughout middle and high school earring national, state, and regional titles. She is currently working towards her Physical Therapy degree and hopes to use it to continue working with children who strive to be athletic but face physical setbacks

Recreational & Team Coach

Tyler Harbert grew to love the sport of gymnastics through watching his younger sister compete, and has been coaching for 2.5 years. You can find coach Tyler working with every different group of classes offered at SCG, with his favorite event to coach being beam. He is currently enrolled at USC and is a double major in criminal justice and the Russian language. Tyler plans to attend law school and work in immigration law.
